Rankings — category index
Our rankings index gathers every category ranking, split between service tables and industry tables. Each entry links to one ranking article, where the ordered table and the listed section render from results.
Listing scope
Service tables group providers by the work sold, while industry tables group them by the sectors served. Every entry carries the same column set, so service and industry tables read alike.
Column derivations
The ranking column names the category label, and the family column groups related categories under one trade heading. The ranked-or-listed column reflects coverage against the ranking threshold for providers in each category. The leader column mirrors the top ordered row of the current round table, rendered afresh after every rescore. No entry is hand-typed, so counts and positions always match the computed round outputs exactly. Tied providers share a rank within one point of the leader, with later ranks skipping accordingly. Tables without eligible providers show an empty state rather than an invented order for readers.
Use of the index
Readers choose a service or industry table, check scope notes first, then read the ordered providers. Scoring detail lives on the methodology page, with shared terms from link building used across every ranking article.
